The Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, is one of the largest railway wheel production units in India and among the most advanced in Asia. It has been quietly powering India’s railways since 1984, producing the essential wheels, axles, and wheel-sets that keep our trains rolling safely across the country.

• 🌍 Exports: Supplies Indian Railways and also exports to countries like Mozambique.

• ♻️ Sustainability: Uses an eco-friendly foundry process, recycling steel scrap into new wheels.

• Earlier known as the Wheel & Axle Plant, RWF was designed to make India self-reliant in railway wheel and axle manufacturing.
• Its fully automated casting line was the first of its kind in India.
• The plant maintains zero liquid discharge, making it one of the cleanest heavy manufacturing units under Indian Railways.
