That’s where SpotGenie’s Emergency Contact feature quietly steps in — adding a life-saving layer of communication to an already powerful tool.

🛟 What Is SpotGenie’s Emergency Contact Feature?

In high-priority cases like a medical emergency, potential vehicle theft, or threat to public safety, SpotGenie ensures that alerts don't just stop with the owner.

When someone uses the "Emergency" option while reporting via the QR sticker:

The sticker/vehicle owner receives the alert immediately via WhatsApp.
The system also sends the same message to their designated emergency contact.
The reporter’s contact number is shared only in this emergency flow, so both the owner and their emergency contact can reach back quickly.

✅ Owner’s details remain hidden.
✅ Emergency contact’s details remain hidden.
✅ Only in emergency, the reporter’s contact is shared to help enable real-world assistance.

💬 How to Set It Up (Highly Recommended)

Even though this isn’t mandatory, we strongly recommend every SpotGenie user set up their emergency contact. It takes less than a minute!

🧭 Steps:

Open WhatsApp and message SpotGenie (just say “Hi”, “#”, or “Main menu”).
Tap “Emergency Details” from the menu.
Add your contact’s:
- Name
- WhatsApp Number
- Relation (Parent, Sibling, Spouse, Friend, Guardian, or Other)

You can add or update this anytime.
