This eight-lane (expandable to twelve) greenfield corridor is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, designed for a 120 km/h speed limit and equipped with smart traffic systems, wildlife crossings, and even solar energy setups.

By 2025, the project, built at an estimated cost of over ₹1 lakh crore, is set to cut travel time between Delhi and Mumbai from 24 hours down to about 12 hours, connecting Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
